Agreed about Worthington - he's completely eroded any goodwill.

If he'd resigned in Septemer or October, we never would have got to this stage and he would have been remembered fairly fondly.

As it is, he's openly at war with sections of the crowd, who have come to see fault not just with his present managerial failings but also with periods of his management that were previously judged to be successful. There's only going to be one winner in the end, and NW would do well to retain whatever shred of dignity he has left and resign, especially now he has ensured that his successor can make better use of Paul McVeigh than he has.

Interesting - and fair - point about Souness, although I would suggest that he was too busy being at war with his players to start one with his fans! :P
