He's made some poor signings, however,

perhaps the renewing of McVeigh's contract represents a change in emphasis. He may have learnt from his previous signings. Etuhu looks to have potential as does Earnshaw. I believe the core of the team is there but is just horrendously unbalanced, we have nothing on the right hand side.

If we could spend ?1m to strengthen the right hand side - perhaps signing Halford and one other I think it would make a massive difference to the way the team play. The team is in transition and this seems to be the final piece.
