Denouncing and use of labels

I guess that’s were I worry - and as I hope I conveyed, that’s from both sides of the debate. You apply the labels of Socialism and Marxism as if they have a single meaning, whilst in reality things are far more complicated than that. There is, for instance, a very strong Christian Socialist tradition which is nothing like the Soviet model As regard Marx, there are probably/more interpretation of his philosophy as there are people making them. Reading early Marx (Thesis on Feuerbach, The German Philosophers, for instance) gives an interesting insight into broad dialectics but says bugger all about economics. Much of the applied economics attributed to Marxists suffers from being tied to a specific historical context, quite ironic given the dialectic described a dynamic process.
There is so much more I’d like to take issue with - from your interpretation of Labours policies to the very naive praise you give capitalism- but time is short and I need to go out. I also guess this is a rather esoteric debate of no interest to most others here. Maybe if you are interested in debating this, we can find an alternative to shouting across the Wrath? Open to suggestions.
