QPR: a clarification
Some previous posts of mine might inadvertently have given the impression that I somehow dislike QPR, or that I do not hold them in high esteem. In particular, phrases like "fetid little nest of w**kers", "grubby stain on the face of the game" and "the physical manifestation of the soul of Harry Redknapp, to the extent he even has one" may have been read as less than adulatory expressions of opinion regarding the mighty Rangers of Queens Park.
I now wish to make it plain that any such imputation was entirely inadvertent. Now, and for the next ninety minutes or so, they are plucky warriors, the very essence of the Proper Football Club holding back better-funded and more highly-skilled opposition with nothing but grit, determination, and dodgy on-site catering.
Queens Park Rangers - I salute you.
Your hoops are not just nice.
They're not even merely lovely.
They are truly super.
Ninety minutes from the date of this post, however, my previous opinions will resume unaltered by this temporary reprieve.
