Location of the head office isn’t relevant to Brexit

The relevant point is activities that involve goods crossing borders.

So makes sense that the latter is going and the former is staying.

It struck me as strange at the time of the vote that places such as Sunderland and Swindon were strongly in favour of Brexit, but the economies in those areas are reliant at present on car manufacturing.

Isn’t Brexit going to make life harder for the UK manufacturing industry harder (goods crossing borders subject to tariffs) while not impacting service flows to the same extent?

I.e people that build stuff and do stuff have a harder time, city slickers in london in ivory towers not really impacted.

Maybe I’m wrong, time will tell.
