Even though he signed for free there would have been a decent sign on bonus and he must be one of our top earners.

Still, in the context of the wages of Jerome, Naismith, Oliveira etc he’s still a total and utter bargain.

Holt in some ways was more of a bargain as we took him from league 2 to the brink of an England call up. And although we paid £400k I’m sure his contract was less costly than Pukki’s.
