Try not to plan too much in one go though. It is huge and the traffic is ridiculous. You
can combine Hagia Sofia and the blue mosque as they are opposite each other and the bazaar and cistern are walkable.
When I was visiting then in-laws there we would normally spend what felt like half the visit in traffic jams, especially when it was the brother who lived on the Asian side.
