I think the other option is to replace Stiepermann

Tettey and Trybull worked fairly well last season when they had Maddison in front, constantly dropping deep and making himself available for short passes. So that they didn't have to do anything special on the ball; just win it back and play a simple pass.

Stiepermann doesn't really do that, so there is no easy out ball always on. Perhaps we could shift Buendia to play more centrally, who will make himself available, and put Stiepermann or Cantwell out wide.
