Press news in...

We have arrived at a very wet and windy Colney ready for today's press conference where Daniel Farke will be speaking ahead of Sunday's derby match. Lots of press in today eager to put questions to the boss about the big game!

----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: It was the result of the season [against Leeds], but the performance is difficult to compare because there are always different tasks. It felt a bit comfortable because we were 3-0 up after 75 minutes, without any doubt it was a brilliant performance, but there were topics in the first half which we spoke about which we can improve.

DF: We were all flying a bit after the win so we take a lot of self-confidence from the game, but we have to get the balance right and not lose the ground beneath our feet and keep our rhythm.

DF: A derby game always has to be played without judging the table because these games are always full of passion and emotion. You can't predict how such a game will develop. We are greedy and highly motivated, but it will be a difficult game. It's a big chance for Ipswich to change the whole mood in one game.

DF: I can't judge the relationship of our fans with Paul Lambert, but I am full of respect for him. He was responsible for unbelievable success for promotion.

DF: I will always be full of respect for coaches who have achieved success in their career. If you work in the Premier League, the Championship or non-league, it's always unbelievably difficult to deliver results with consistency and Paul did that so it's a sign of quality.

DF: I won't worry about it [Matt Gill coming back]. I worked quite closely with him when he was Under-23s coach but it's not like he knows any secrets or anything. It will be good to see some familar faces. Paul is still a hero at Dortmund as well, there are some good memories so I am looking forward to meeting him tomorrow.

DF: The week has been really good so far on the training pitch. We are focussed and it helps that it's such a big game so we are not too relaxed [after the Leeds win]. We have to prove it on Sunday.

DF: It's important that we play our game and stick to our plan. We have to make it our game and then we have a big chance to win the points. For Ipswich it's a good chance to change the mood and be back in the relegation battle. They will try to annoy us and break our rhythm, so it's important we handle this intensity and aggressiveness, but also keep cool to bring our topics on the pitch. We have to play with a flame in the heart, but cool in the head.

DF: Each and every derby match is different. We want to stay unbeaten and continue without a loss, but I'm sure Ipswich will be motivated for success as well. We are prepared for different scenarios and we want to win the points.

DF: Tom Trybull got a knock in the Leeds game and it was painful but he's been able to train and is available. Alex Tettey is also one week further on and it's good to have him back as an option. Moritz Leitner is back in team training but has been out for a month and especially after an ankle injury it's important he finds his trust in his body again, so he won't be available for this game. He will need a few more sessions before he is back. I hope Timm Klose can return to team training next week, but he is not back for tomorrow. Todd Cantwell and Ben Godfrey had knocks in training this week but should be available for Sunday.

DF: Philip Heise has been with us 10 days and has been good in training. We don't have much pressure to change the squad but he is available.

DF: Our young lads are outstanding and how they deliver with this consistency deserves big compliments. Ben Godfrey has stepped up in the centre-back role and delivered. So big compliments for him and also Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis. They play nearly without mistakes and always bring good performances. This is a sign of quality and class.

DF: We wanted to add this to our game [early goals]. It's always good when you go in the lead like we did at Leeds, it is good for the confidence and tactical. It would also help if we went in the lead on Sunday too, but sometimes you have to be a bit patient too. Sometimes if you score too early you can be too laid back but we handled it well against Leeds and I wouldn't complain if we can do this in the next weeks as well.

DF: Experience is always important and when you experience being in the lead and having other teams chase you it's good you are able to handle it. We know we are in a wonderful position at the moment and we really enjoy it. It's important to not feel too much pressure but stay greedy and enjoy it.

DF: We will watch the other games on Saturday evening but I will be pretty relaxed and watch it with a cup of coffee on the sofa. But the follwing day we will be in for training and ready for the game.

DF: No one would probably predict that we would be league leaders but we are and to be able to create something extraordinary is what we are trying to do and we want to go further on.

DF: My feeling was when he [Max Aarons] was good enough to be there with a really good performance against a Premier League side [Cardiff City in he Carabao Cup] then he is good enough to play in the derby [at Portman Road in September.] I knew Max would deliver in his performance and thank god he paid back the trust.

DF: When you judge it in an objective way you would say we are the favourites because we are the league leaders, but in derby games the league position is not important. In each and every game they have been pretty close to winning points and that's a sign of how close the league is.
There is a big difference in the table but for me the meaning is not too big.

DF: I trust my players and our spirit and a result like Leeds is always good for the self confidence, but it is not a guarantee. We have to be focussed and concentrated and we need a good performance in the game [on Sunday.] You have to take you well deserved credit from each game but stay focussed to win points.
