Cheers earth!
Regarding sleep I have not slept a full night since 1995 when I joined the Fire service full time. I was retained for 5 years before and never had a problem despite getting night calls so assume it must be the fact sleeping at work which seemed alien to me and we used to get a lot of night calls initially. Left the Fire service in 2015 but it has just carried on from there. I can get tot sleep fine it's when I wake up during the night I am awake usually for a couple of hours or so and the knee pain at the mo is just compounding the issue.
I take painkillers as and when for the knee with limited success but not keen on taking too many. Doc did give me sleeping pills once but even she advised me against taking them which made me smile, so never did
