I agree to a point
If I was working in an office or shop and got abuse from my boss or colleagues, then yes I would probably be less likely to work as hard.
BUT we are not their colleagues, we are more like customers. We pay to see them perform and if we don't like what we see, we are entitled to let them know.
If you go to see a band and they clearly aren't performing, can they really have any complaints when the crowd start getting pissed off. I know that football isn't quite the same as other entertainment industries but I still think that if you are getting paid as much as they are, you should put the effort in. Otherwise they really don't know how lucky they are.
