That simply doesn't make sense

there is not a shred of evidence that cup runs harm league form. We have a huge squad and loads of fringe players who it is better to have game time anyway so that they can be up to speed if and when they are needed for the first team.

And, most importantly, its the biggest competition that we have a realistic shot of winning for the forseeable future.
