And, the calibre of player that will join permanently now staring relegation in the face, won’t keep them up. So why over pay to sign them now?
They might get a few loans in, but if they then get relegated (which they will), it’s a massive waste of money.
Final point, everyone knows they’re desperate so the prices will be even higher for them.
In summary, they’re done for.
Better to plan for next season really, which they probably will behind the scenes while feeding the fans the bulls**t they need to hear.
