I think linking #metoo, Harvey Weinstein, Philip Green etc to leaving a deposit with...

the NHS for medical/fertility assisted reasons is dangerous ground.

I mean we’re talking two very very different situations at polar opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of their nature and purpose. I get where you’re coming from to a point but it should be also considered that the people that grace the pages of said literature are largely doing it by choice I would imagine. So whilst it may be objectification in some sense, whose authority is it to say that someone shouldn’t be able to take a decisions to allow themselves to be objectified in the first instance?

It’s sort of all murky water to navigate through, especially in the times we live in where people often have to tread on eggshells when they talk at this kind of stuff for fear of being put through the wringer by whatever movement is fighting for whatever the current cause is. It’s shame reasonable discourse gets shutdown in the mainstream. Doesn’t help any of us longer term.
