Well, it speaks to the while point of the article - which I have now gone back and read.

Imagine writing about England support and the FLA, and then highlighting their attempts to legitimise themselves by associating with football as if it's a revelation, and not the exact same thing that the English far right have been doing since the NF, EDL, Britain First, etc, etc, ...

If the intersection of violent nationalism and travelling England support is something to be picked out as new to this journalist, you've got to wonder if they're in anyway qualified and prepared for their subject matter.

The one thing I do like from that article is the highlighting of the intense desire for opposition that these far right activist's hold - it is one of the threads that defines them - their intense need for their objectionable behaviour to be found objectionable, so that they can claim the victimhood they've been pathetically seeking since the start. It's well realised, and better described than I've seen before.
