There used to be the term “flaming”, with regard to conduct online.

It’s not used much nowadays, as with many things it’s got a bit dated.

However, it certainly seems to be appropriate for a lot of the conduct on this message board over the last few months. Maybe I’m speaking out of turn or maybe not, I don’t know, but it strikes me we could all be a lot nicer to each other, rather than immediately assume any opposing viewpoint is antagonism.

Just a thought.
