My Dad took me to my first game - Brentford v Barnet in 1993, I think.
We lived in Uxbridge, tickets were cheap. The game was, from the little I remember of it, a very dull 0-0. Still, if I’d got into football sooner and we weren’t on the verge of moving to Norfolk (which, incidentally, never actually happened) then I might well have ended up supporting them. Norwich got relegated, we moved to Poole in Dorset and I’d already become attached. Can’t understand how people can actively support more than one team. I have a friend who is an Ipswich supporter when they’re good and a Tottenham supporter when they’re s**t. He’s Tottenham at the moment, obviously.
