The basic numbers make pretty ugly reading

We ended last season pretty poorly. That run of 3 wins from 16, picking up just 17 points. Continued over a season, that’s pretty close to relegation form.

This season, one win in 5 and a grand total of 4 pts. That is relegation form.

Add that lot up, and you get a 21 game run that’s yielded 21 pts. That’s form that will have you going into the final game needing something to survive.

Yes, there’s hard luck stories and what ifs galore. Should have got a pint at Sheff Utd. Could have beaten West Brom. But we’re now stuck in a long run of mediocre and, as they say, the table doesn’t lie over a period that long.

Some really big issues that need sorting already.

- dodgy keeper.
- back 4 not working
- 1 DMF not working
- leaking goal after goal at right back
- Rhodes getting very little service

I’m not in full bed wetter mode yet. But as Jim might say, it’s a bit of a worry. Especially when you see what Leeds have done with essentially just a manager change. They haven’t spent big otherwise have they? Same bunch of players that finished mid table last year tearing it up this year.

Farke needs to show he can male the team more effective at actually sticking points on board. Soon. If next week goes badly, the pressure is really going to ramp up.
