The arcades near the Bell

Spent *so* much time in there, buying fags down the road for very little for twenty and then selling them on in the arcade for 10p/fag which went straight into the machines in the days when 10p = 1 credit. Fantasised about a future when the currency was actually credits and not these silly meaningless "pence" things at all.

I was good at Defender and Scramble and Galaxians but I was the absolute f**king king at Tempest. Later I got pretty good at Street Fighter II but back in the day Tempest was just My Game.
