We can't play consistent good football without having a proper defensive platform. Three at the back gave us that platform; four at the back doesn't. So we were solid but boring with the former, more exciting but erratic and leaky with the latter.

He's spent 49 games to be no further forward than when he started. If we were any further forward, it wouldn't still be happening.
