The difficulty is coming to terms with it yourself
You cant control them or their behaviours, so you need to accept that and deal with the impacts on you.
Control the controllables - ie how you react to people like that, and how you avoid becoming collateral damage to their problems.
Avoid, contain or mitigate.
Life is too short, so avoid where you can. If you cant (work) then box that person into their defined role so their issues/problems dont become yours (contain) or work out how to counteract the damage - ie making sure the s**t doesnt stick to you and superiors know the score (mitigate)
Control the controllables, everything else will happen regardless so no sense fretting about it.
