i think so anyway. you might benefit from being able to swan through the EU citizens passport checks instead of queuing up behind 5000 Non-EU citizens from the entire rest of the world when you are travelling on your holidays.

and you get to pretend you are Irish when caught by terrorists instead of admitting you are really from the UK and having an enhanced risk of having your head hacked off on you tube by psychopaths
