But unlikely.
Teams get to the latter stages through a combination, to a greater or lesser extent, of good performances and favourable draws.
We were streets ahead of Germany in 2002 - we played Brazil in the QFs, they played USA, then South Korea in the semis.
Uruguay in 2010... the fourth best side in the world? Or lucky to play South Korea then Ghana in the knockout rounds?
The draw matters. Every time.
