Dire Straits.

I have to confess to a kind of guilty pleasure, I quite like large chunks of their first four albums. There are some great, atmospheric, beautiful sounding tracks there.

And then they go and make truly execrable s**te like Walk Of Life, Money For Nothing and Twisting By The Pool, for which being gored by angry bulls is insufficient punishment. Up the arse.

I can’t think of many musicians / bands who have used their considerable talents for evil in such a way.
