The worst thing about this is that the fuss is largely just about the Windrush immigrants

who, ironically, are now the 'right sort' of immigrants when back in the 50s/60s they were very much the 'wrong sort'.

But this awful policy applies equally to all immigrants. I see Rees-Mogg is now saying how horrid it is for Windrush immigrants, but I bet he (and probably a fair few of those 130 MPs who signed the letter) voted for/supported it when he thought it was just applying to Europeans, North Africans and refugees from the our adventures in the Middle and Near East. ie today's "wrong sort" of immigrant.
