I'm not that far away....

....Basically both are fine so it really depends why you are going there and in which direction you will be travelling. Both q expensive but both on the M40. Personally I fractionally prefer Banbury and maybe there are better nearby villages there....? I'm sure you have done this but best thing you can do is spend a weekend halfway between the two (Stratford say) and have a good and thorough drive round both of them.
