The compiled data isn't specific to each team
It's thousands upon thousands of pieces of historical data covering lots of players from all teams from different top leagues. Is that what you mean?
I think Norwich's lack of chemistry would affect even more aspects that xG doesn't cover. For example; if a wide player makes a great pass, but the striker doesn't make the correct run (think Murphy's cross which Srbeny didn't read yesterday) then xG won't record that at all, even though it really was a great chance that was created. That could apply to any team regardless of chemistry though.

- Thabks. Interesting stuff. I wonder how much data they've used to come up with the xG (NCFC) - essexcanaryOTBC, Mar 18, 16:16:26
- Apparently several thousand phases of play which led to efforts on goal (NCFC) - Common Sense Police, Mar 18, 16:22:32

- Yeah it makes more sense, although there are still cons with that method (n/m) (NCFC) - Common Sense Police, Mar 18, 16:23:12
