I have a friend who can't resist plucking any straight ear or nose hair. I have to make

sure any visible parts are safely groomed before meeting up with her. The tweezers have come out at the pub on many an occasion, and the most embarrassing one was when I had to physically fight her off from yanking out a stray hair on the top of my ear sat in an almost full carriage of the Thalys.
