Yep, at least in the last Prem season that's certainly the case

which was a strange policy for the board to be following; given how inevitable relegation is in either the short or medium term for clubs of our size.

But these owners have shown throughout the last 20 years that they are not particularly good at running the business side of the football club, and are even worse when it comes to the footballing side of it. Now they have no significant money to invest, a questionable credit rating, and a need for the fans (once again) to fund the very future of the club in the form of the academy.

And yet they also have a long term succession plan that involves handing the club on to their relatives. As Jim said; it's a community club when it suits them, but it's their own kingdom the rest of the time.
