built the attacking-mid around Madders, and for a time I thought we were doing OK out wide but I'm less convinced now. Another window really should get us at least one striker, a winger, and we're going to need a new keeper and to figure out how to structure the top end without Madds. Oh and some more pace would be nice. All of which is, frankly, doable. One window for most of it and then a tweak at Xmas.

Last season was the bounce-back season; we didn't. This season is the first season of the rest of our lives and Farke is building something which clearly works. Top third remains an issue, surely no-one thinks for a second he doesn't know it.

I still don't buy playoffs this term (remotely!); but I remain very positive about next season and beyond.
