Transitional season with a new technical style of play

and wholesale squad changes at a net loss while massively trimming the wage bill. If you're expecting instantly great results then you're asking for too much, given the context. This should be about long term change and the club is less than a season into that.

The defence is already sorted out, the midfield dominates and controls games (criticism about pressing is ridiculously harsh), all that is lacking is an imaginative forward with good delivery/finishing (Murphy is not that yet) and a natural goalscorer (who plays more like a 9 than a false 9) for this level. It's difficult to score when the ball rarely arrives from dangerous breaks (Murphy). It's difficult to create chances from central midfield when your centre forward doesn't make the best runs and isn't a natural fit for the system.

If the club had achieved everything it needed to in one season, I would have been building a statue of Webber and Farke outside Carrow Road myself. Patience and realism is needed.
