or at least that isn't the point that was being discussed a few weeks ago. IIRC, it was more about the timing of this change of philosophy. And whether such a radical change was necessary during a season where we still had the likes of Pritchard, Jerome, Maddison, Oliveira, Tettey, Hoolahan, Klose etc... or whether that change of philosophy could have waited until next year, when there was nothing to lose.
If we miss out on the play-offs this season, then it's been a failure imo. Because I think the squad we had at the start of the season certainly had the potential to finish top six.
