The difference (imho)

is the fact that religious belief IS a personal choice, dependent on the individual, location, circumstances etc.

An event on the scale of the holocaust, with both human, documentary AND physical evidence is not up for debate. Evil men like Irving, denying the scale or even existence of a systematic attempt at wholsale human extermination makes my blood boil.
