Very, very strange - I have seen photocopied evidence of these "cartoons" re-printed in an Eqyptian magazine (together with a critical article) with a fairly wide circulation. FIVE MONTHS ago.

And the reaction in a largely Muslim country with a fairly tense religious situation, before the huge media fuss about it? Nothing. In some places, for example Nigeria, it's just an excuse to settle old scores.
