Alternative to yellow
One comment on the commentary last night suggested that Pedro should have gotten a straight red for such blatant cheating.
A yellow feels too lenient but a straight red feels too harsh. It's harsh in the same way as a genuine attempt to tackle someone as the last man can result in a harsh red card, imo
In these cases, I'd like to see an instant ban but in the form of a sin bin period. Somewhere from five to fifteen minutes, depending on trialling it, but ten minutes sounds a good starting point.
I suppose this opens us up to the opposition time wasting to use up the ten minutes but all time wasting gets resolved by taking time keeping away from the onfield ref.
Anyway, was ultra proud last night. Roll on Saturday...
