Well, it's not though

The statement was simply that the Richest 1% now own half the world's wealth. That doesn't take into account any cost of living index. Just pointing out that before everybody reads that as being the multi-millionaire / billionaire elite, it is actually referring to possibly a majority of the UK if based on income since the qualifying figure isn't far off the UK average wage.
