After yesterday, has DF learnt how to play in the
Championship?
First half: Slow, pedestrian, sideways, backwards, predictable, turgid, allowing Millwall to get 10 men behind the ball.
2nd half: More pace, attacking, less predictable.
I am not against keeping possession. Keeping the ball reduces the ability of the opposition score. That may be OK if you are Barcelona or Man City with the world's best players, but we are Championship. Players make mistakes and give the ball away cheaply, making us vulnerable to quick breaks.
Let' hope DF can mix possession with a bit more pragmatism.
Let's not get carried away. Millwall have not won an away match this season and probably targeted us a possible first win away.
