Call me an old fool - because I am - but I got a *lot* of positives from today
- our remaining Murphling showed some more glimpses of the player he WILL turn into. Yes he was one of the best on the pitch today but I think there's even more in there.
- Madders: clearly too good for us but we won't sell in Jan, other than for silly money and hopefully with a loan-back. Ideally though he'd stick around and see what's what in the summer.
- Pritch. That's why we bought him.
- Tetters, the Tettmeister General, the Archbishop of CanterTettey; two Trybz, Tommy, the boy Tom. You. Shall. Not. Pass. Well, obviously they will, but...oh f**k it, you know what I mean.
- Not sure if that *is* our best back four or not but it did a job today.
A couple of teensy niggles:
Olive is the wrong kind of striker with Madds/Pritch. We need the kind who hangs off the shoulder of the last man (I've not read down but this simply cannot be an original thought!) when we're playing those twp+Murph, which should be roughly always. CamJam would certainly do a job but for me we need a different kind of striker to what we have in the team just now. I suspect Farke knows this already.
Their ghoul today looked very saveable. Still and all, all keepers have the odd blip and we won so who gives. I remain very impressed with young Master Angus.
