Jack up the offending wheel.

Try to move it from side to side, if it moves then your wheel bearing is on its way out.

If it's nice and tight take the wheel off and check the brakes visually.first establish whether they are disc or drum brakes. Disc brakes are easy to check visually because you can see everything. Drum brakes can't be checked without talking the drum off

If anything is loose or hanging off don't drive it.

Do you have any breakdown cover that includes homestart.?
