Hopefully that is the case, but I think it could be more complicated
the new signings are on pretty good wages for their ability, so there may not be too many takers. On the other hand, they are still getting paid considerably less than our other players, so will probably be the future of the club when we have to cut costs.
I agree that a good manager could get more out of the likes of Jerome, Martin and Naismith (however much maligned they are) than out of Zimmerman, Stiepermann etc... But I think financial considerations will mean we have to retain the newer signings - and so we may need to look for a manager who can get a tune out of them. And Farke (who imo was a dubious appointment and has done even worse than expected) may still be able to get enough out of them to keep us up for the next year or so. Then we can get a new manager, when contracts are up, on and off the pitch, and we have more scope to rebuild the squad.
