i've had a total ghost shipwreck of a day

made some stew, the recipe said bung some stout in. no stout but I had a flagon of out of date ghost ship tucked away in the stores so used that instead. Schoolboy error as it made the stew taste sweet. then i thought "here's a good idea" how about cooking the dumplings in a pan of boiling ghost ships instead of in the stew.

Don't do that, not recommended. it really is not a good idea. The clean up all but ruined the entire weekend.
