I'm amazed anyone didn't have a nagging suspicion

That having a squad generally weaker than last season, with no discernable spine or variation, managed by a novice to the championship from German reserve league, but armed with a philosophy he was going to play no matter what, would end up in anything other than a relegation battle.

I said it before and I'll say it again. This all ends in league 1.

Pitiful, gutless, aimless football.
