from 1964 to the end, it was like ground hog day - just day after day of perpetual slaughter. The jaw dropping bit is that from 1964 just about every one in the American administration and military were admitting that there was no way they could win yet they continued to sent thousands of kids (my age, at the time) over there.
It would be nice to think a lesson was learnt, but.....:-(
