19th April 2009
(idea nicked from a tweet by erstwhile Wrather Harry Helveg)
On April 19th 2009 I witnessed our last derby defeat. I went with my brother in law (a Birmingham fan sent along to make sure I behaved myself in one of Scums stands).
Since then I have:
Quit my job to retrain
Moved from Cambridge to Bedford
Gone back to university
Dropped out of university because I was life-threateningly ill
Been successfully treated
Returned to university
Got qualified
Got a new job
Suffered numerous bereavements
Quit my job to relocate to Keighley
Been ill again
Got another new job.
And in all that time Scum haven't even come close to beating us again.
(The sad postscript is that my companion that day at Portaloo has passed away).
