Saw it last night - no spoilers

It's absolutely stunning and thoughtfully develops the original story. The style and tone are faithful but it is on an entirely different scale. It's a vast film.

A knowledge of the first film is not essential (imho) but it certainly rewards those who are familiar with it - particularly at the end... which I found quite affecting.

Knowing what I know now, I'm desperate to watch it again - partly to piece it all together again, but also just to enjoy the absolute majesty of it all.
