I think in some ways today was even more impressive than Middlesbrough
to maintain the required intensity and focus for the second time in a few days, and to immediately forget about the 'clean sheet record' once it had gone, shows a real steel to the side.
Tettey, Trybull and Maddison is just a great midfield three at this level. You have the solid holding player and two guys who can run a lot and have good technique alongside. Hopefully they can survive the rigours of the Champs, because Tettey doesn't have a great injury record and Maddison is getting kicked around a lot nowdays. Hoolahan looked a bit out of place in the new system, but could still be really vital at home or against teams who sit back and let us have the ball more.
Will be interesting to see if Farke gradually tries to reintroduce the possession style throughout the season, or if he is a fully fledged pragmatist now.
