Afraid I disagree when it comes to gambling

Completely agree with alcohol, drugs etc. where your mind gets altered and you become chemically dependent.

Gambling is the overpowering urge to chase a high and desperation to recover losses to avoid fronting up to the embarrassment. Not saying it's easy or not a problem, but fail to see how it can be considered an illness.
