I'd look into airbnb / self catering outside manhattan if you want to keep costs down.

I'd budget for £500 per person for flights, and then about £200 per night accommodation (but that might be too low).

You'll probably get through about £200 per day while you're there too depending on what you're doing (e.g tourist attractions, eating out lunch and dinner).
