Listened to Sounds of the '70s today.

Really like the programme and the anecdotes told about various bands, wherever their genre. Today was about Marc Bolan,it being 40 years ago that he died. He seemed like a decent bloke, I know he was very popular and mixed with Bowie and lots of influential people. The thing is, I just don't "get" him and his music. Was he that good? I know if you don't like an artist their music sounds samey but I reckon you can mix together most of his hits and they would seamlessly blend into one.
