Oh wrath of knowledge, my washing pump is buggered, is it worth replacing?

Probably not if a technician's going to charge me 50 quid to fit a 20 quid pump.

Or is this something I can do myself a) relatively easily b) without electrocuting myself or others b) without buggering up my electrics?
